The purpose of the session is to show the opportunities and challenges on the way to creating virtual teams. Creating virtual teams gives you access to all the knowledge of the world. Throughout the workshop, opportunities and challenges along the way to build them will be explored, thanks to Agile. Key learnings: - How to build teams with people from different locations - The importance of trust and team culture - Discover the tools and techniques for virtual teams - Find ways to be more efficient and collaborative Discover virtual teams as a key to develop projects quickly, reduce the cost and develop your organization for the future.

The session will be separated into 6 parts: Part 1 (20 mins): Introduction to the topic. Overview of the topic and share personal experience. - Introduce the "Let's get to know each other technique" and the importance to know our team members. - Talk about how building trust is of vital importance if we want to have honesty and transparency. - How to build team culture, clear team roles, and common purpose - How to motivate - What tools and techniques can we use to uncover the strengths of team members? - When does a virtual boss need coaching? - What are the phases that virtual teams go through? Part 2 (5 mins): Icebreaker. Warm up the audience with an icebreaker game and prepare them for the next slot where we will have a session for “Learning by doing”. Part 3 (20 mins): Gamification. Game time where we will play a game. Pair Origami Game - Illustrates the importance of face-to-face (vs. distributed) communication. Discussion with the audience where we will outline several specific take-aways for the attendees of this session. Part 4 (20 mins): Discussion about the tools for virtual teams - personal experience and examples for planing tools, stand up, retrospectives and etc. Part 5 (5 mins): Conclusions. Part 6 (5 mins): Q&A. Note: The session is designed for 75 minutes but I am flexible to change it in need.
