Title:
The Selfish Meme: How Memes use People as a Vector to Define your Organisational Culture
Short synopsis:
In the Selfish Gene, Dawkins defined a meme as a self replicating piece of information. In The Beginnings of Infinity, Deutsch proposed that memes define culture in civilisations and can be helpful or counter productive. Recently I noticed that memes can define company culture. Whilst they often start out useful, they can outlive their usefulness until, like mutant genes, they only cause damage. I will explain how you can exploit their self replicating nature to effect positive change.
