A case study in how the National Cyber Security Center turned their capability programme around from an 18 month delivery cadence to achieving business value every 2-4 weeks. Lyn (Product Manager/BA) and Jill (PO) will share their journey through a plethora of tools, frameworks and techniques from SAFe to SWARMing (Dan North’s concept of Scaling Without a Religious Methodology) highlighting the trials and tribulations encountered on the way. Topics include team culture, lack of business understanding and engagement, resistant collaboration and the importance of incorporating the change agenda in scaled agile approaches.

The National Cyber Security Center exists to help make the UK the safest place to live and work online. Managing cyber incidents is a core part of the NCSC service. This talk shares with you a case study in how Incident Management turned its capability programme around from an 18 month delivery cadence to achieving business value every 2-4 weeks. The journey is one of continuous improvement trialling and testing many different tools, frameworks and techniques from SAFe, right through to Dan North's SWARMing (Scaling Without a Religious Methodology) until they reached something that worked.
