Title:
Leading with An Agile Brain in Mind: The Brain's Codes for Change
Short synopsis:
In this fascinating tour of the brain, we’ll explore parts of our nervous systems that evolved to connect, engage, and innovate. We will play with the brain’s built-in codes that open us to co-creating and change. Using our hands as a model and memory aid, our focus will be some key areas in our brains and related findings about neuroplasticity (brain change) that are absolutely central to leading, coaching, and co-generating. Your tour guide is a leader, coach, and brain geek who will share practical tips about the brain's change codes (supported by delightful bits of science) that you can put to immediate use.

Long synopsis (optional):
In this fascinating tour of the brain, we’ll explore parts of our nervous systems that evolved to connect, engage, and innovate. We will play with the brain’s built-in codes that open us to co-creating and change. Using our hands as a model and memory aid, our focus will be some key areas in our brains and related findings about neuroplasticity that are absolutely central to leading, coaching, and co-generating. Your tour guide is a leader, coach, and brain geek who will share practical tips about the brain's change codes (supported by delightful bits of science) that you can put to immediate use. Using our hands as a model of the brain, we will first explore the Vagus Nerve that connects brainstem and body, its neuroception of safety, and the keys it holds that open possibilities in all relationships. Next, we will visit some core brain areas involved in motivation, feeling, and memory, and the best methods to work with them, like ways of exercising the hippo(campus) (memory) and soothing amy(gdala) (regulation). We will conclude our brain tour with the powerful prefrontal cortex, essential for agility and leadership, and how we can maximize our access to this integrative internal leader of our brains and nervous systems. This is not a dry science presentation; this is science comes to life - presented with humor, examples, and a focus on agile leadership. The brain's codes for change help us optimize learning, team working, and self-organization.
