Talk description
Title:
Your code is a war zone
Short synopsis:
Your code is a war zone. Your environment can be hostile (legacy code full of bugs) or welcoming; a library can turn from a helpful ally to an embarrassing millstone, or even a fierce enemy when dormant bugs are awaken. Using this metaphor, let's see what a military theory such as manoeuvre warfare can bring to code quality and to sustainable software development.

Long synopsis (optional):
After a description of the metaphor, we'll visit military theories and in particular John Boyd's OODA loops theory. Then we'll see some practical examples of practices and / or tools that follow these principles: Automated code review, mob programming, community-driven knowledge scaling
