Long synopsis (optional):
Workshop: The key to building a great team is developing the environment where they can work in the most effective manner. One of the foundations is the ability of the team to collaborate, which as with most things is skill that first needs to be learned and practices so that it becomes second nature. This session will start with an understanding of what collaboration is, the stages that we go through to get to there and where teams often stop without realising that there is still further to go. The session will then introduce a number of exercises and games that can be used individually or as a whole. The session will finish with a LEGO based exercise which highlights the importance of face to face communication, shared understanding and how different forms of communication introduce challenges and misunderstanding.
