Talk description
Title:
Specification by Example workshop
Short synopsis:
Specification by Example (often also referred to as Behaviour Driven Development or Acceptance Test Driven Development) is simple but a powerful collaborative discovery technique that helps build shared understanding within a team and with stakeholders. However in many cases teams forgo the collaborative discovery aspect of it and it is often instead abused as a way to just automate tests using tools like Cucumber or Specflow. This means that many teams don’t really reap what I believe to be the real value it brings. In this back to basics hands on workshop you will first learn a bit about the power of collaborative discovery, and then get chance to get your hands dirty and try it out for real. I promise you will never again look at it as just another way to automate you tests.
