Talk description
Title:
The One Secret Your Agile Coach Doesn't Tell You (Or, The Four Coachmen of the Apocalypse)
Short synopsis:
There's a truth about large scale agile transition that is rarely discussed openly. It's uncomfortable. But in an approach that promotes transparency, courage and commitment, we probably should. This talk presents the facts on what it is, why it exists, why it's a problem and proposes a solution to fixing it.

Long synopsis (optional):
This presentation is based on my years of experience as an agile coach with large organisations. It describes a core failure with large agile transitions. I describe this failure using a number of examples. Having described the issue, I explain why I believe it exists. The reason is, I believe, so compelling that it would be unprofessional for us to continue to attempt agile transitions in the way that we do today. I finish with a proposed way to enable organisations to benefit from agility today, while creating the agile organisation for the future, protecting current income streams and limiting risk. This approach is being adopted by a large UK bank this year.
