Talk description
Title:
What can agile teams learn from Positive psychology?
Short synopsis:
As Scrum Masters and Coaches, we must be synchronized with emotions in our teams. Emotions help people see the big picture and achieve results, so we often need to look “under the hood” to sense drivers beneath the surface. In this session I will give a brief introduction to science of happiness, and explain how I think that we, as agile team members, can benefit from it. I will illustrate how to recognize the roots of flexibility, creativity and resilience, and use this knowledge in our everyday scrum-routines. As always, there are two sides of the same coin. So I will also touch upon why positive emotions can sometimes be dangerous, and why teams should in no way fake positivity.
