Talk description
Title:
The Kaleidoscope
Short synopsis:
A Kaleidoscope is an optical instrument, showing symmetrical reflections of geometric shapes. As the Kaleidoscope is turned, the observer sees ever changing shapes created by reflections, moving parts and images from outside the instrument lenses. Developed by Tova Averbuch in 2007, an Organizational Kaleidoscope is a simple tool to generate organizational knowledge. Participants study and explore a complex reality through simultaneous exposure of real-life events to multiple points of view (“lenses”). During the event, an interested audience experiences 2-4 real life events explored by 5-6 experts who act as the "lenses" or "mirrors" of the Kaleidoscope. In a fishbowl like setting, members of the audience may choose to participate. An Organizational Kaleidoscope is a great tool for an overall retrospective, problem solving and other forms of knowledge creation.
