Talk description
Title:
Continuous Visibility, No More Dashboards!
Short synopsis:
JB talks about his journey from how he and his team evolved visibility in their systems in response to the worst project they ever had. A truly agile team but a project destined for failure? They had some things in their favour. They added something extra. Did it work? Did they succeed? Join him on his tale, from the evolution of life on earth to microservices, from agility to deadlines, planes, tasers, dinosaurs, meteorites....anything is possible!

Long synopsis (optional):
Continuous Integration, because merging code is hard, and if we put it off, bad things happen. Continuous Deployment, because deploying code is hard, and if we put it off, bad things happen. Continuous Visibility, because knowing what our system is doing, what it can do, when it fails and how long it will take to fix it is hard, and if we put it off, bad things happen. Continuous Visibility is: “A set of processes and tools alongside a culture of designing systems to have a level of observability, monitoring and alerting to allow a development team to answer questions about a systems past, present and future state within acceptable time frames to the business”
