Talk description
Title:
Navigating Uncertainty When Building New Products
Short synopsis:
Creating new products is hard. The market is complex and continuously changing, making it difficult to predict which ideas will gain traction. Lean experimentation meant to solve this problem. But, without a consistent way to decide what to experiment on, you may be wasting your time. Over the last year, we developed new products for one of the world's largest publishers. We used an operating model that offers a repeatable way to develop new product ideas. It helped us measure product traction and understand where to invest our time. We then used this framework to test if our investments gave the return expected. Through this talk, we will explain how to apply the operating model to your product development process. We'll also share the learnings we gained using it ourselves. We aim for you to leave with a way to identify where to run experiments that increase the chances of success for your new products.
