Long synopsis (optional):
Agile teams are empowered to resolve their own problems but how do we take responsibility for, and own, the issues that we face? In this session, we take a look at Christopher Avery's Responsibility Process and what it means for us and our teams. During this interactive session, we will take a look at how the process works, the different stages we go through when each event in life hits us and ultimately how we can take charge of what happens next. I will augment Christopher's work with demonstrations and anecdotes from my own experiences of applying this process, both in my own life and with my Agile teams. Participants will spend time reflecting on the way in which this learning applies to their own lives and, at the end of the session, they will have a clear strategy for taking responsibility that will empower them to own their outcomes, for both themselves and within their teams.
