Stephane's journey to coaching has been long. He has worked as a scientist, teacher, small business owner, factory worker, call centre operative, project manager and strategic advisor to leading businesses. He has supported organisations to get off the ground including social enterprises and strategic representative organisations. He has experienced unemployment, depression and the challenges of reintegrating into his home community after nearly eight years in Japan. More recently Stephane worked as a consultant for a leading social enterprise. Sharing responsibility for successfully developing and delivering a 5-year project in Cornwall to support marginalised young adults. A project that won local and national recognition for the learning and impact it created. When the project finished, his work shifted to delivering operationally focused consultancy to clients. Many of which were also nationally recognised organisations trying to break new ground and navigate change in a complex world. His first steps towards becoming a coach happened unexpectedly. One day he was threatened with redundancy for being too hard-nosed and closed to influence. He was committed and achieving results but there were serious questions about his ability to fit in. The criticism hurt. But instead of leaving he got curious about what was possible for him if he embraced what hurt as an ally and reframed the criticism as an invitation to grow. He signed-up to complete a L7 Diploma in Executive Coaching and Mentoring but it wasn’t enough. He wanted to explore the emerging edge of coaching. That’s when he found something that sounded very different: Organisation and Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC). Before long, he was in London with corporate leaders, international change makers and leading coaches from all over the world. The ORSC learning experience stretched even the most experienced people in the room beyond their comfort zones. For many it completely redefined what being a coach meant. Those first few courses were amazing, emotional, empowering, edgy, beautiful and paradigm changing. A rich experiential learning experience held by some of the most gifted, skilful and professional course leaders in the coaching world. Despite his relative lack of experience Stephane flourished and went on to become fully certified. He now works with partnerships, teams and organisations and helps them unlock their potential by moving towards relational excellence.
