Nik is a software project manager for over 20 years at IBM, currently working on a large agile and fully open source Eclipse offering that aims to make Cloud microservice agile development as easy as possible for non-Cloud developers. He has spent the last 2 years focusing mainly on identifying and driving the usage legal clearances required for thousands of open source packages mainly in Node.js, Go-lang, Java and at the Operating System/Runtimes levels. Whilst doing so, Nik has developed many pain points, practices and automation work flows, which he has recetly started to share in blogs. Previous work Nik has done for IBM, includes having lead an IBM UK Labs I.T. Asset Management process and tooling transformation, which lead onto leading an innovative and successfull Green I.T. initiative, which tracked I.T. systems that were expected to be powered off and automatically raised alerts if they became unexpectedly powered on. Prioir to that, Nik lead the IBM Hursley Lab Knowledge Management initiative, helping to optimse software development process, practives and tools knowledge creation, sharing and retention.
