Talk description
Title:
Small Scale Agile - why being agile is essential to a micro business.
Short synopsis:
Agile methods are often perceived to be for larger companies who can afford the cost of adopting them. In this session Matt will describe why very small companies really can't afford not to embrace the Agile movement. Matt has recently been working with some micro and small "non-tech" enterprises across Cornwall and Devon and will talk about his experiences introducing Lean thinking and straightforward agile practices into three of them. He will talk about the hazards of "project" thinking and being blinkered by progress, and describe the real need to be Lean and experimental across any enterprise, particularly a very small one. This is Agile at scale - small scale.
