Long synopsis (optional):
When I joined Scoured Ferrari F1 racing team in 2006, I have been asked to increase the speed of software development while at the same time increase the reliability and reduce the number of bugs. That sounded like a paradoxical puzzle to me. And why didn’t I know the solution already, given that I was hired as an expert? This challenge, in a high pressure fast paced environment, led me to the finding of four CD coding patterns, two well known nowadays, and two still relatively new. In this session, I will tell the story of this discovery and the learning, and I will introduce the four patterns that enabled us to increase the speed of software development without the need to trade speed for quality or safety.
