Long synopsis (optional):
The positive or negative outcome of a project can nearly always be traced all the way back to seeds sown at its inception. So how do you set a project up to succeed? How do you align the stars of procurement, legal, multiple stakeholders, delivery teams, external suppliers and more? How do you establish the culture? What can you put in place to support the work? And what management traditions need to be overturned? This session will be delivered in a ‘talk show’ format by Steve Parks, a former BBC radio journalist. He’ll seed the discussion with examples, challenges and questions and then interview delegates in the room for specific experiences and ideas in a well-hosted, energetic discussion. Areas to be covered include: culture, procurement processes, contracts, aligning with business objectives, budgeting, setting goals and principles, setting KPIs, and more. So, let’s start at the very beginning, it’s a very good place to start…
