Title:
KanBan Man’s Family - A Personal Story of Agile at Home
Short synopsis:
Becoming parents will take even the most organized heads for a spin. Once a child arrives, parents quickly center on the life created. How do you manage demands on your time, usually with little to no sleep? How do you maintain your relationships without compromising on nurturing your growing family? How do you navigate the constraints in a growing family with Agility & Leanness? Just like any large-scale transformation, Naveed Khawaja tells how Agile grounded his life after kids by applying Agile to life at home. He explains how he is steering his life from the brink of insanity to agility & leanness at varying levels within the same household. Thanks largely to the agile mindset and their almost religious practice of some Agile practices, Naveed's struggling family of four children is now a happy family of seven (five children and counting :)).

Long synopsis (optional):
Naveed intends to regale the audience with a lighthearted and relatable story about how parenthood is hard, but Agile can make it easier when you allow contextual autonomy based on the maturity of teams. From a lounge where the only decoration on the wall is kanbans, roadmaps, and curriculum plans, to the bedrooms with termly and yearly targets and personal kanbans - the family lives and breathes agility. Using examples from his life, he will explain how to use Agile at home to free up more time in order to create higher collaboration, shared vision and focused milestone continuous planning with food for thought in enterprise agility.
